JOB TITLE:  Legionella Risk Assessor

DEPARTMENT:  Compliance

OFFICE: Head Office – Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Northern Office -- Rotherham, South Yorkshire

REPORTS TO:  Senior Risk Assessor


KEY ROLE AND REQUIREMENTS:

You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working on customer sites. You will have a very good understanding of current legislation and guidance outlined in the Approved code of Practice L8 4th edition, as well as the Health and Safety at work Act 1974 and COSHH regulations 2002. Crucially you will be able to demonstrate a high degree of organisation, time management and working to strict deadlines.

Due to the nature of this technical role, you will have a good level of education and a thorough understanding of domestic and commercial water systems. A plumbing background would be advantageous along with good communication skills and a professional appearance. You will have a City & Guilds in Legionella Risk Assessing or equivalent.

This role is predominantly field based and may from time to time require you to work away as and when the business needs require. In return, GES Water is offering a competitive salary package and excellent working environment with good career progression and security.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the Legionella risk assessment on customer premises in accordance with current legislation and guidance.
  • Complete the Legionella risk assessment report using GES Water official documentation and risk assessor packs
  • Produce suitable schematic diagrams of all water systems assessed
  • Complete all works within the required time frame and GES Water Key Performance indicators
  • Liaise with the client and GES Water consultant, and communicate any early warning reports discovered during the risk assessment
  • Write accurate and legible records and  reports for submission to the administration department in line with company key performance indicators
  • Carry out all works in line with company servicing standards and the health and safety policy
  • Comply with any special instructions laid down in the customer work orders
  • Ensure all expenditure has the prior approval of the Line Manager
  • Carry out a daily vehicle report and report any damage to your line manager. Follow the correct maintenance, driving and safety guidelines as detailed in the Drivers Handbook.
  • Ensure that any equipment for which you are responsible (e.g. Tablet computers) is kept clean and is properly maintained.

What we are looking for

  • Solid background in plumbing is preferable
  • Good level of IT skills, preferably with Microsoft package
  • Professional Appearance and Excellent Communication Skills
  • High Degree of Organisational ability and time management
  • An ability to work alone and to strict deadlines
  • Understands the importance of, and can demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Team Player
  • Conscientious with the ability to problem solve

Graduate Consultant - Southern Region

The position will involve both office and field based work, learning the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through various methods e.g.: Cold calling, Mail Shots, Referrals.
  • Achieve sales appointments targets.
  • Achieve sales budgets.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and appointments with companies/organisations/businesses to generate new revenues for GES Ltd.
  • Develop and generate upgrade business from existing accounts.
  • Carry out the day-to-day administration for accounts (job sheet production, monthly visit correspondence etc.).
  • Liaise with service team, Operations Manager, Contracts Department to ensure all works completed to highest standards.
  • Advise customers of remedial actions to be taken following visits to site and quote for works.
  • Ensure customer compliance with ACoP L8.

Salary £18,000-£21,000 per year
