Thirty-six cases were reported with pneumonia and four were reported with non-pneumonic infection; thirty-one males aged 27-86yrs and nine females aged 57-85yrs. Gardeners are being warned over the risk of legionella infection from compost, the Lancet reported that a 67 year old man ended up in intensive care after being infected through a cut in his hand.
