13/07/09 Reports of Legionnaires Disease Outbreaks in England and Wales for May 2009

12 Cases have been reported for May 2009. Eight males aged 43-80 years and four females aged 63-83 years. Five cases had community acquired infection and one acquired infection in hospital (nosocomial).

Six cases were travel associated:

  • Greece (1),
  • United Arab Emirates (1)
  • and United Kingdom (4).
